Thanksgiving 2011

We are so blessed to live close to both of our parents and some of our siblings!

The Saturday before Thanksgiving we had the Mann family Thanksgiving. It was a little strange because in the past year my older brother took his family of 7 and moved to Michigan, my little brother moved to Montana and my oldest sister lives in Washington. So it was my family, my parents and my sister and her family. But even though less people were there we still had PLENTY of fun :)

My dad had a surprise for the kids this year.

He gathered them around the Turkey to have them help carve it.

But when he started they noticed something was inside the turkey!

They all thought is was awesome and really funny :)

I'm actually a little surprised no one was upset, they all just kept saying "It's a momma turkey!"

I just have to say that my dad is an AMAZING cook! He made THE BEST Turkey I have ever had in my life, it was juicy and the flavor was AMAZING! I am drooling just thinking about it! :)

Papa Dan also started a tradition of his own, a Turkey Shoot for the kids.

He hangs Turkeys up all over and they take turns going around and shooting all the turkeys.

We also celebrated the November Birthdays. Happy Birthday Papa Dan, Tyler and Haden!

On Thanksgiving day we spent the day with the Tippetts family. Every year they get together at a church, everyone brings an assigned dish and we all visit, eat and have fun! They always have a little craft area for the kids and also BIG bounce houses! My kids didn't want to leave when it was time to go and I don't blame them :)

Santa & Mrs. Clause even showed up this year! It is actually my father in laws uncle, Ivan and his wife Julie. I'm impressed with Ivan's real beard, they looked great!

Trent had work off the day after Thanksgiving so we went to Krispy Kreme for breakfast and then came home and decided to decorate for Christmas! That night we went to my in laws for dinner. My father in law fried a yummy turkey for us, the kids helped make cookies for their uncle Dustin who is on a mission and we just relaxed and enjoyed being with family.

On Saturday we took the kids to see the new Muppet movie (very cute movie) with some friends and then we went to bass pro shops to look around. We then grabbed some dinner on the way home and watched a movie as a family.

It was an AWESOME 4 day weekend and I am so THANKFUL for all of my many, many blessings!

On November 18th Trent and Jack went on a camp out with some other dads and their boys. They had a GREAT time fishing (Jack caught his 1st fish ever plus 4 more!), hiking, eating s'mores, shooting guns... etc. The weather was supposed to be cold, but it ended up being perfect camping weather and I'm so glad they had so much fun!

We went and got In-n-Out for dinner, came home and started watching The Little Mermaid. After we ate I decided it would be fun to give the girls little pedicures, so that's what we did :) We then built a tent to sleep in and called it a night. In the morning we ate doughnuts for breakfast and then played outside until the boys got home.

Lily's New Do!

Lily used to SCREAM everytime I brushed her hair and I would sometimes say "Should we just cut it so you won't have so many tangles?" She would always respond "NO!" She loved her long hair & so did I, I just didn't love the screaming part of doing it. But then one day she decided it was a good idea, I now kinda regret saying it :)

So after lots of asking for her hair to be cut, we gave in. My sister in law, Celestial, cut her hair for us and I may or may not of gotten a little teary eyed when I came in and saw her long pony tail cut off, I didn't think I would have such a hard time with it, but I think she looks ADORABLE & most importantly she LOVES it! Jack even said "I think she looks even prettier with her hair cut". :)

We had a great Halloween Season full of Trunk or Treats and Parties!

The weekend before Halloween:

Trent and I went to a fun adult Halloween party at some friends house.

We did up our trunk for Jack's school Trunk or Treat.

We went to our wards Trunk or Treat and had a good time.

We had the Mann Family Halloween Party at our house and had a great time!

So by the actual Halloween, we were pretty much Halloweened (is that even a word?) out! We had some friends over and we ate Buffalo Wild Wings, went and did a little trick or treating with the kids, came back ate cookies and called it good :)

I didn't take a lot of pictures, but my sister did at our family party so those are the ones I'm going to share, enjoy :)

How did my boy go from this,

TO THIS?!?!?!?

Jack turned 6 on the October 27th!

We started the day off with mickey mouse pancakes.

We met his daddy for lunch at the Olive Garden (one of my boys favorites).

We went to the store and he got to pick out some new clothes.

We rode bikes in the street.

We picked up his buddy Ezra and went to Chuck E Cheese's for dinner.

We met his Grammy and Papa T. & Papa Dan at our house for presents, cake and ice cream.

He then went home with Papa Dan and had a super fun sleepover at their house where he got to swim(in a heated pool), go pick out some toys, color and have a blast with his grandparents!

I think his Birthday was a success! I love this boy so so much, but he is growing up way too fast, I wish I could make time go a little slower!

It's been about 8 1/2 months since I have blogged. I figured it's about time I give the people (mostly Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles...) what they want. So, I will give you a picture filled rundown of what has been in happening in the Tippetts lives since February 2011 :)

Jack and Lily started Gymnastics, Ballet & Karate around March and they LOVE it!

Since school has started they are only doing gymnastics right now and I just started a mommy and me gymnastics class with Lacy last week. So far she is following after her siblings and is loving it! :)

On Jack's last class of Karate he had the chance to break a board. I wasn't sure he was going to be able to do it, other kids hadn't been able too. But to our surprise, and his surprise he did it! I was a PROUD momma :)

Linen closets are the perfect place to take naps. It has everything they need: Soft blankets and darkness ;)

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great 4th!

Spent the 1st half of the day with my family eating and swimming and the 2nd half of the day with Trent's family doing firework!

We went on a few trips!

We went camping with some friends and family, it was a BLAST! Can't wait to do it again next year!

We visited Trent's grandparents farm and rode horses, caught kittens, went 4 wheeling, saw LOTS of animals and had LOTS of fun!

Jack will be 6 in just a week in a half! I will have a 6 year old!!!

My birthday was THE BEST.

Trent spoiled me and surprised me by taking the day off & bringing me Einstein bagels for breakfast, Ordered & watched a movie at home and ate robertos for lunch (we were going to go out, but lily ended up with the flu), I got to take a long nap! Trent made me his amazingly delicious pineapple burgers for dinner and then we played my new Just Dance 2 game on the wii. Husband of the year? I think so :)

Trent wanted to celebrate his last birthday in his twenties by going to Joes Crab Shack for dinner! His parents came along and the food was great, but the best part was when they sang to him! They had him put on bunny ears and hold two pots. While we sang he had to march around like the energizer bunny banging the pots together and he didn't hold back, my man was the best energizer bunny I have ever seen! I wish I had, had a camera, it was hilarious! :)

Mann Family Reunion!

(I thought I uploaded pictures with my kids and their cousin Matix on Trent's side of the family, they should be right here :( But we have spent LOTS of good times with them also!!)

My brother in law received his mission call to the Lima, Peru South Mission. He will report to the MTC in November!

SCHOOL is now in session!

Jack started Kindergarten, he is going to a new Charter school, Somerset Academy, and so far we are really liking it! He LOVES school and his teacher, Mrs. Moore, is awesome! I had a hard time letting him go, I cried more than I thought I would on the 1st day of school. Next year will probably be even harder because he will be gone ALL DAY :(

Jack is still the sweetest and most obedient kid I know. He is so helpful and I feel like he has an older spirit in his little, almost 6 yr old, body. He sets a great example for our family and I feel lucky he is mine. He love anything to do with art, he would color, draw, paint, etc all day if I let him. His favorite food is Pizza, his favorite color is Blue (although he sometimes adds black, red and white because those are the colors of spiderman), he is learning to read and is getting really good at it!

I love him more than he will ever know!

Lily is going to preschool this year! She has a GREAT teacher, Mrs. Tina, who has been so great with her. Lily had a hard time going, but Mrs Tina was so patient with her and now Lily looks forward to going and she is doing fantastic! We bought her a "special" locket necklace with pictures of our family in it that she wears and if the starts to miss us, she can open it and look at us :)

I love my Lily bug, she is the SWEETEST little lady and is ready to give out "I love yous", compliments, hugs and kisses whenever you need them. She has been a great older sister to Lacy and helps me out as much as she can! She is very much a girly girl, she loves to wear skirts and dresses and if you take her picture she will probably give you some sort of a sassy pose. But at the same time she can be incredibly shy. For our wards primary program I didn't think she would do her part but she did and I was so PROUD of her! Lily's favorite color is Pink, her favorite food is pizza, but she will eat almost anything you put down in front of her, she loves dancing and playing with her toys (especially her doll house)!

Lacy is definitely 2 and she will let you know what she wants, when she wants it and and how she wants it done. But she is one of the funniest kids I know. She tries to make us laugh a lot and she succeeds every time! She can go from throwing a massive fit to being a sweet little lady in no time. She reminds us of those sour patch candies, first their sour then their sweet :)

She LOVES playing with her older brother and sister. But she also loves the time her and I spend, just the 2 of us, while the older ones are in school and I LOVE those times too!

If asked: What her favorite color is, it is whatever color Lily says, so usually pink, what her favorite food is, what Jack and Lily say, so usually Pizza. She loves to play outside and also to play with her stuffed animals. Even though she is at an age where I feel I am going to go crazy, I wouldn't trade her for the world. I love her personality and all the good and bad that comes with it.

On September 18th Trent and I celebrated our 7th anniversay!

We had the kids stay overnight at my parents house (THANK YOU parents!) and we went to see Phantom of the Opera downtown, So good!

7 years! Where is the time going?? I don't feel like it has been that long since we were married, but at the same time I don't remember what life was like without him. I am so much more in love with him now than I was 7 years ago. He is my rock, my love, my best friend! He is so patient with me and I often wonder what I did to get to be so lucky to be called his wife.

I love him more than he will EVER know!

This was taken about 2 weeks ago in UT, we went to visit Trent's brother and sister. My sister in law recently got engaged and so we decided it would be fun to go for a qucik visit! While we were there we had some time to go to Thanksgiving Point and go to the little farm/petting zoo they have. It was fun being with just our little family who I love so much!

The BIGGEST news since February!

Seth Daniel Tippetts will be joining our family the end of December!

I CANNOT wait to meet this little man, to kiss his cheeks, to hold his tiny hands, to smell his yummy baby breath, to watch my kids love on him and hold him, to see my husband love him and teach him, to see him grow and learn new things everyday, to help him to know that our father in heaven loves him and to help him gain his own testimony of the gospel that I have grown to love so much. I feel so blessed and so lucky to be trusted with one more of gods precious children. Words cannot express how much I already love this little man. I pray that I will be a good mom to him, that I will be able to handle 4 small children and be a good wife to my husband. Even with all my worries, doubts and fears of how it's going to be once he is here, they are all overshadowed by the knowing of how great it will feel to have him in my arms with the rest of my little family around us.

6 Months have come and gone.

So it's been about 6 months since my last blog post. Yes we have been busy but the main reason is our computer broke. It was dropped and the screen cracked, so we decided to go the cheaper route and buy a used one. Not even 2 months later that one shuts down on us and won't turn on. But now we bought a brand new desktop computer that can't be dropped and shouldn't break on us! Yay!

So here is what has been going on in the lives of the Tippetts the past 6 months: (It's a long post so you might want to go grab a snack, a drink and a blanket. You don't have to, that's just what I would do.)

We had a great 4th of July! We went to the Summerlin parade with my family and then went back to my parents for food and swimming!

We did go to Disneyland with Trent's family but I put all those pictures on my other computer so until I figure out how to get them off I will just tell you how fun it was! We spent 1 day at Disneyland and 2 days at the beach. We had a BLAST, I just wish Disneyland was cheaper...

We drove to Utah in November? Or was it October? I don't remember, we have been back and forth a lot over the past 6 months. But this time we went to be with my mother in laws brother as he took out his endowments in the Manti temple. It was so good being there with everyone and my kids LOVE visiting Great grandma and grandpa Penrod's farm!

Lily LOVES all the animals but she especially LOVES the cats that she and Jack spend 98% of their time on the farm trying to catch!

Jack got to ride a horse ALL BY HIMSELF for the 1st time! I was proud of my little city boy! :)

Lily was Potty Trained over the summer. Can I just tell you that even though everything about the picture below looks happy and great... I HATE potty training, the end.

But she is super cute holding her FILLED Potty Chart.

Lacy got some BLING! We had her ears pierced and she barely cried at all, once she got a sucker she was just fine. (If you want to tell me I was wrong for doing this, that she now won't have a choice if she doesn't like them when she is older... etc. Don't worry about it, I've heard it :) Besides I like and it's done)

Somebody turned 5 & his name is JACK!

I can't believe I have a 5 yr old, what?!? He got to have a fun birthday party and he chose a Dinosaur theme, I think he had fun :)

Jack is going to a preschool that he LOVES! His teacher ROCKS, she has him learning to read right now and last night he read his 2nd beginning reader book all by himself!

I am doing a joy school with 3 other mom's from the ward with my Lil bug. It has been lots of fun and the kids are so cute! Lily can now write her name all by herself!

1st look at their expressions, they are proud! They took out every shoe in my closet and added some of their own toys. Now imagine their expression when I told them they had to put it all back by themselves. They weren't so sure it was a very good idea anymore.

We had visitors that stayed at OUR HOUSE! We were very excited when Trent's aunt, Camille, and her family decided to stay with us! No one ever does because if they visit they usually stay at our parent's houses. So if you want to come visit, we would LOVE if you stayed with us!! :)

We had a great Thanksgiving with the Tippetts family. They always get a couple bounce houses for the kids and this year my inlaws were in charge and they put on a Minute To Win It game for the adults. Good times were had!

I have A LOT to be Thankful for, but I am most thankful for these 3 little peoples!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

CHRISTMAS!

I really do think it is the most wonderful time of the year. Everyone is happier and more thoughtful! The night before Christmas eve we spent the night at my inlaws and IT. WAS. FUN! We made graham cracker houses, trains, towers, nativities... We had a yummy fried turkey dinner, we played games, exchanges some gifts and most the adult stayed up until the wee hours of the morning.

Christmas eve we do our own thing, uncle Mak (my bro) and his girlfriend came and spent the evening with us. We did all our traditions:

We went and looked at Christmas lights, came home and had doughnuts and hot chocolate!

We wrote a letter to Santa, left him milk and cookies and left the reindeer some grass.

Christmas morning the kids came out one at time, youngest to oldest. All they asked for was a bike and a pillow pet, their wish was my... I mean Santa's command ;)

My family had a belated Christmas party. My sister, Danalin, and her family came into town a few days after Christmas. We ate food, the kids did the nativity puppet style. We put a movie on for the kids and the adults played games. Fun Fun Fun everywhere :)

Trent had to work and I had a wedding to go to. But we all (minus trent) ended up at my sisters house for a PAR-TAY!

What is the most fun thing to play at a party? "Just Dance" on the wii!

Then pop some poppers and call it good!

It SNOWED in Vegas!

Not much at our house but we did get enough to build our little snowman :)

My sister and her cute family came to visit the last 2 weeks. We spent as much time together as we could and I think our kids like each other :) I love having them visit but I hate when they have to go. In the next year my brother and my other sister will be taking their cute families and moving away. I just can't think about it or I'll be a big baby a cry :(

My sister was only supposed to be here for one week, but my sweet Granny Mann ended up passing away. So they decided to stay for another week and drive up to Utah for the funeral. I will do seperate post about that special experience later.

Phew!

We made it, I am all caught up (almost).

Now I must go feed my starving children before they throw something and break this computer to get me off. Man they are needy, it's only 1:30 and they are whining about wanting lunch ;)

Mann Clann Reunion 2010!

This year Trent & I were in charge of planning the reunion for my side of the family! We decided to go to Zion and camp out! I had never been there and I am so glad we went, it was BEAUTIFUL and the weather was perfect. We got there Thursday evening and stayed till Sunday morning, here are some Highlights from our trip!

Highlights:

Playing with cousins, Going swimming at the campground pool, eating yummy food, doing ty dye shirts with the kids, the candy fairy, Lily & Delaney putting on makeup, Singing around the fire, dutch oven dessert cook off, Hiking to weeping rock and going on the river walk, stepping on a squirrel, dad competition, devotional, FUN!

Lacy is 1!

The past year went by so fast. I can't believe my little Lacy Bug is 1! A year ago today I was holding her for the 1st time. She was perfect and beautiful! I was AMAZED by all her black hair! I fell in love and as the past year has gone by I have fallen deeper and deeper in love with this sweet little lady. Ever since she was brand new she has been a calming comfort to me. If I am feeling stressed, angry or sad all I have to do is hold her for a minute and I instantly feel better. I LOVE watching her learn new things and play with her big brother and sister and they love playing with her! I look forward to another year of watching her grow and learn new things, I just hope it goes by a little more slowly.

SUPRISE!

This past weekend we flew to Washington to surprise my sister for her 30th birthday! My brother in law, Ty, set the whole thing up and it turned out perfectly! He 1st asked us if we would be able to come all the way back in February and that's when we bought our plane tickets. It was SO HARD for me to keep the secret, but I am so glad I did! We flew out Thursday night and stayed in a hotel. The surprise party wasn’t until Friday evening so we spent the morning and afternoon in downtown Seattle. We went to a FUN Children’s Museum, the kids rode a couple of rides and ate lunch at Ivar’s Salmon House where Trent got to eat his fresh crab legs! Then it was time to head over to the party. When we got there a couple of the people thought I was Danalin until they looked a little closer. There where so many people there and I was getting EXCITED! They had us hid in the loft upstairs and when they got there, we heard her come in and everyone start singing Happy Birthday to her. She had NO IDEA and was SO SURPRISED! They then sat her down and turned on a video of friends and family that couldn’t be there wishing her a Happy Birthday. We quietly sneaked downstairs and waited till it was time for our surprise. The last video was of our family, but we just videoed our couch and said “You’ve reached the Tippetts, we’re not home right now. But if you want to talk to us, Dana, you’d better turn around”. When she turned around we were standing right behind her. The tears started flowing and lots of hugs followed. It was SO MUCH FUN to be able to be a part of such a great surprise!

Dana actually called me soon after I took this picture to see how the beach was (I had told her we were going to the beach and disneyland). I was a little frazzled because I didn't expect her to call, it had started to rain and I was afraid she would here the rain on the windshield, but she didn't and our secret was still safe!

The day after the party we went on some Kayaks, I had never been and I LOVED it!!

Trent didn't love it but I am glad we did it! :)

I am mad I didn't take any other pictures until our last day. Saturday during the day, after kayaking, Trent and Ty went to the driving range and then Dana and I went to Target and did a little shopping. That night one of the young women in Dana's ward offered to watch all our kids so we could go on a date! We went to the mall and exchanged some things and looked around. We went to payless to find Kelly some shoes and Ty knocked over a bunch of boxes while Trent Hid around the corner and Dana and I laughed (it's a had to be there) We then got some ice cream and headed back home. On Sunday we went to church and then we were going to go on a picnic to a place by the hood canal, but it was raining so we went and looked around for a bit in the rain before going back home.

On Monday before we left we went to waterfront park and let the kids play and explore!

Last year I was having a couple of "poor me" days. I, of course, can't remember why or what set me off, but my Amazing husband, being the Amazing man he is, was so patient with me and my mood swings ( he still is, see post below). Anyway, I woke up one morning and found post it notes ALL over the house. On the milk jug, in the silverware drawer, in my makeup case, in the car, on the garage door, in the pantry, on food in the pantry, etc.! They each said something he loved about me. All throughout the day I would find a new one and I began to feel so much better and more in love with him with each note I found! I am grateful that he doesn't get frustrated with his crazy mood swinging wife, instead he tries to find a way to serve and make me happy, whether it be putting post it notes all over the house or by doing the dishes... and I LOVE him so much more because of it!

...of Emotions is how I would describe the past few weeks.

I was feeling so low and so down, I have never felt like that before. I tried all my usual tricks that pull me out of those kind of slumps (exercise, getting out of the house, having friends over, taking a bath, cleaning...) But NOTHING was working. At least not entirely, I would begin to feel better but the second I gave myself a minute to think I would start beating myself up again. All I could think about is how I was not good enough, my body is frumpy, my hair is boring, I can't keep my house as clean as I want, I am not spiritual enough, I don't spend enough quality time with my kids, I am not giving my husband the attention he needs and deserves, laundry is the devil... My sweet, amazing, strong, wonderful husband tried everything he could to please me (rubbing my feet, cleaning, taking over kid duty when he got home, etc.) and I was not responding to any of these amazing, thoughtful acts of service. But last weekend I realized with the help of my mom, I was depressed. I think that just by realizing it and saying it out loud made the difference for me. My mom gave me some herbal "happy" pills and they did make a difference. I took those for 3 days and then decided to see how I would do without them. I feel GREAT, back to my old self again. I think I may have had some CrAzY PMSing going on but I am glad to be feeling happy again even if I do still feel that laundry is the devil ;)

Jack started his Karate class yesterday!

He was a little nervous and didn't want to do anything when we 1st got there. I was outside the classroom but there is a big window that he could see me through. I noticed that he seemed to be more shy when he saw me so I decided to move to where he couldn't see me. Soon after, he was up, running, kicking and punching with the rest of the class! At the end he was in line waiting for his stamp when he saw me through the window and gave me a quick smile and a nod to tell me he did it and he had fun :) I love my boy and I am proud of him! He can't wait until next week!!

Our Valentine's Weekend was WONDERFUL!

My amazing Husband planned a very thoughtful and romantic date for me on Friday. Friday morning I woke up to a note on the mirror that told me my mom would be at my house at 9:30 to watch the kids so I could go shopping for a new dress for our date that night! So that night I got ready and dropped off my kids to my parents and then met Trent back at our house. When I walked into the house he had set up a candlelight dinner with roses and rose pedals. He made a very yummy cheese ravioli dinner. We then danced on the dance floor, a.k.a. the kitchen! It was so much fun and I am so in love with him, he's definitely a keeper ;)

The Next day, Saturday was my mom's birthday! I was lucky enough to get to take her out for some lunch and to get Pedicures! I had never had one before but I LOVED it! I think I will be getting them more often :) It was SO MUCH FUN spending time with my mom! She is such an amazing woman and I love spending time with her, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

Valentines Day was so fun also! We woke up and had a yummy pink heart shaped pancake breakfast. We then gave our kids their valentines from us (coloring book and some candy). After church we came home and ate heart shaped PB &J sandwiches and watched Charlie Brown's Valentine. That night we went to my parent's house for my mom's birthday dinner. My dad made his AMAZING pizza and we all stuffed ourselves! We then went over to my in laws and spent a little time with them, I love that we have family so close!

Trent had the day off of work yesterday so we decided to go to Spring Mt. Ranch. But on our way there we saw the sign for Bonnie Springs and we decided to go there instead. We had a lot of fun! Lily especially LOVED petting all the animals, it took Jack a little bit to warm up but he eventually did :) Then last night we had my older brother and his cute family over to eat and watch the 1st episode of the Amazing Race. We also played a little wii Dance game that I am thinking we will be buying for ourselves sometime very soon :)

It was a GREAT weekend! I LOVE my family!

What a Week!

I am sitting here wishing I could have gone to church. This is the 2nd week we have missed because we all keep getting sick. First it was sore throats and now we all have colds. Hopefully we will all get better & stay better!

Last week was CrAzY! Trent went into work on Monday only to be told to go home and pack a bag, he was going to Laughlin for 3 days. So away he went and on Tuesday we decided to have my sisters kids come spend the night. We had Lots of Fun, but then I started to feel sick again. So the next day we dropped Bethany's kids off and went home to wait for Trent to get home so I could go to the Doctors. So I find out I have tonsillitis (the 2nd time in 3 weeks). So I get started on the medicine and I am hoping to start feeling better because my brother in law, Trevor, was getting married on Friday. So Thursday we have a big dinner with both families that were here for the wedding and then they went to to the church to set up for the wedding while I stayed at the house to watch the kids. The next morning (Friday) we all woke up feeling sick with colds. We took Lily and Lacy into the Dr. and Lily has an ear infection in both ears, Lacy has to get a nebulizer for her breathing, Nice. So we go to the Temple and the sealing was BEAUTIFUL! They both looked amazing and so happy! I am so happy Michelle is in our family! We then took some pictures and went to the luncheon. After that we had just enough time to go pick up Lily's medicine and then drive back to the church for the reception. At the reception, Jack really started feeling sick and was grouchy and so was Lacy. Lily had a lot of fun, she ran around and danced like crazy :) When we got home that night we all crashed, only to wake up still feeling sick, we mostly laid around and rested, but we woke up this morning still feeling yucky. So hopefully one more day of rest will help. I am ready for us to be healthy and happy again!

On Friday night I was supposed to have a girls night in at my house, but Jack ended getting strep throat. So I decided it would be a great time to take Lily on a date, just me and her! We had so much fun and I LOVED spending time with her! She decided we should go get pizza, so we went to CiCi's Pizza and loaded up our plates. We shared our plates with each other and tried the different kinds of pizzas. We ate and just talked about all the things she likes (her toys, Grammys and Papas, her friends (a.k.a. her cousins, I love that she calls them her friends!), coloring, books, fruit snacks, Mom and dad, jack and lacy... She is such a beautiful little lady, inside and out and I feel very lucky and privileged to be her Mom!

On Saturday Lily picked out a dress to wear and then she asked for "Princess Hair". After she was all dressed and ready, she looked so cute I asked her if she wanted her picture taken. She said yes and as soon as I put the camera to my eye to take a picture she started posing with no prompting from me! So is so BEAUTIFUL! Enjoy! :)

Our New Years Eve was not very exciting, at least not for Lacy and I. I was super sick and found out I had tonsillitis and Lacy was getting over a little cold. Not so fun, so we stayed home and were in bed by 10:30.

Trent, Jack & Lily had a really FUN New Years Eve! They went to the party we all were supposed to go to and they had a blast! They played games, ate snacks and Jack and Lil even stayed up till Midnight to ring in the New Year! They ended up staying the night at my in laws (THANK YOU!) and they had so much fun, I don't think they even noticed Lacy and I were not there! :)

Christmas Time is the Best Time!! :)

We had the PERFECT Christmas!!

- A FUN party at my parents with all the cousins (except Max & Kelly we missed you!) The kids acted out the nativity, gave each other gifts and played!

- Decorated graham cracker houses at Trent's parent's house!

-Dropped Jack & Lily off at my parents Christmas eve day morning so they could decorate cookies and take them to neighbors. Trent took the day off so we went shopping for clothes for ourselves. It was nice to have some extra time together!!

- Spent Christmas Eve at home: Ate yummy potato soup in bread bowls for dinner, Santa's elves brought us all PJ's, drove around looking ate Christmas lights, came home and drank chocolate milk while Trent read a book called "Three Trees" & told the story of Christ's birth!

-Woke up not too early on Christmas Day to find Jack already playing with all the toys Santa brought. He then came into my room and said "There's toys out there!!!" :)

- Ate a big breakfast of Eggs, Bacon, pancakes & orange juice!

- Got ready in our new clothes and headed to Trent's parents house for more presents, food and fun with them! Jack got an AWESOME remote controlled Dino & Lil got a little trunk full of Dress ups from their Great aunt Margene and uncle Kevin (Santa was out done this year!)

- Went back home and my parents stopped by for dinner and to see the kids presents!

- Went to bed with full bellies & happy hearts!

Noses and funnies!

Lily's nose is healing so fast! I don't think she will even have a scar and if she does it won't be very noticeable! We went to go get her stitches out on Monday and it was not a good experience, it was so sad! She was already nervous and starting to cry when we laid her down. She had 3 stitches (which our pediatrician said she only needed 2) and the 1st 2 came out easy. But the 3rd, not so much. They had tied it so tight he couldn't get under it to cut the string. We ended up having to put her on a board and strap her arms, legs and head down. This did NOT make her happy. She was screaming and trying to get out, I felt like crying myself. Our Dr. even got so mad at the situation that he said a curse word and threw the scissors in the sink and walked out for a minute. He came back and was finally able to cut it out, he told me to give him the name of the Dr. that put them in because he should not be putting stitches in people if that is how he does it. Anyway, after she got a hug and a Cinderella book from her Dr. she was back to her happy little self! Below are pictures just to show you how fast it's healing, I think we won't even notice it at all by next week!

Jack:

Yelling as he stands on the couch "I'm going to jump off and do a candy ball!!"

Trent and I were watching the Ultimate Fighter and Trent was talking to the guy on the T.V. and Jack said in a I know better then you voice "You can't REALLY yell at them because they are in the glass"

We were driving in the car, here is our conversation:

Jack-"Do you know what song I like the Best?"

Me-"Nope, I don't. What song do you like the best?"

Jack- "I like the alligator song the best...(pause)... Except there are no alligators in it."

If you watch and like the Phineas and Ferb show, like we do, you will know what he is meaning. Jack and lily were talking and I heard jack saying "Jack, Jack and Lilybots, Jack, Jack and Lilybots" They then both started saying/singing it and doing the Robot dance!

Lily:

We were sitting on the couch when she looked up at me put her fist up and said ever so sweetly "I'm gonna punch you mommy, I'm gonna punch you in the face!" I then said "No your not, that's not very nice!" She then responded "It isn't?!?" like she was surprised.

I woke up with a little cold and I told Lily, she then touched my arm and said "Yep you cold"

Thanksgiving and Stitches

Last night while we were setting up our christmas decorations Lily grabbed a stocking and the stocking holder came down, scratched her nose and cut her right under her nose. We took her to the emergency room to see if she needed stitches because it looked deep. We loaded up the kids and I drove while Trent sat in the back to keep Lil from touching it. We got there a little after 9:00pm and soon after I took Lacy and Jack to the car so I could feed Lacy. Lily was in good spirits and was a trooper! She ended up getting 3 stitches, my poor baby girl! It all took FOREVER! We ended up being there until around 1:00am RIDICULOUS! We sat in the car and watched a movie 2 times, and Jack and Lacy eventually fell asleep. I wish I had taken one of my moms up on their offer to come get the other 2. Lily is doing good this morning, she is sore but is up and running around like nothing is wrong, so tough! I love that little lady!

We had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!

On Thursday we went to the Tippetts Thanksgiving at a church. One half of the gym was where they had dinner and tables set up and the other half was full of bounce houses and obstical courses! My sister in laws and I raced through the obstical course and I tied for 1st with my soon to be sister in law Michelle! Whoop, whoop! I am lame and didn't get any pictures but We had a GREAT time seeing family and being with everyone! Around 2:30 we took off to drive to Utah for my side of the families Thanksgiving that was on Friday. We drove to Provo and stayed in a hotel. Friday morning we drove to my Granny's in Logan to visit her. She looks great! We then stopped by a cheese factory there where I almost threw up trying the old time swiss cheese:p After that we drove up to the lodge that we stayed in and had Thanksgiving in, we had a great time!

Highlights:

-Seeing my sister Danalin and her family!

-Eating a yummy Thanksgiving Dinner

-Watching my kids play with cousins they don't get to see very often

-Christmas Party after dinner!

-Having Jack decide that the nativity didn't need another Shepherd, he thought a dinosaur would be better! :)

-Santa scaring the kids by almost falling into the christmas tree! He was an AWESOME Santa!

-Seeing family that I haven't seen in years!

-Lacy was all smiles for everyone almost the whole time!

-Mine and my sisters kids were the last to go to bed at midnight, but then we ended up sleeping great!

-Food! :)

On Saturday we watched the BYU vs Utah game and then got some Burger Bar (a must have when visiting family in Ogden) and headed to Temple Square! I love going there when all the lights are up!

On Sunday we took the long drive home, we stopped and visited Trents uncle Pat and family! It was FANTASTIC Thanksgiving weekend but it's always nice to come home, especially when we get to decorate for CHRISTMAS, I really do think that this is "the most wonderful time of the year"!

I know I have been slacking off on keeping my blog up to date. So I figured I better do some before all the major holiday stuff that will be happening soon! 1. What 5 items are on your holiday wish list this year?

- Hmmm... First would be some new clothes, nothing seems to fit right after having my 3rd baby.

- Or maybe I should ask for a personal trainer so that I don't need to buy new clothes ;)

- My sister and her family to move by me (it says wish list, right?)

- My backyard to be done so my kids can play back there.

- New flooring in my house, our carpet is very much needing to be replaced!

2. What is your favorite handmade gift you have received?

- My kids (ages 2 & 3) handpainted a frame for me! It sits on my kitchen counter and I LOVE it!

3. What handmade gift have you always wanted to tackle?

- I have always wanted to make my kids a bunch of dress up clothes. I recently received my 1st sewing machine, so now if I can take some lessons...

4. What was the best Christmas gift you received as a child?

- Hmmm... I don't really remember a favorite gift, I remember the traditions more. But I do remember getting my 1st bike and I was excited.

5. What items are on your kid’s wish list this year?

- They aren't too picky, but I know my son (4yr old) wants one of those play laptops or anything to do with dinosaurs, my daughter (2yr old) would be happy with dress ups or doll stuff, my baby girl (5mo old) would be happy with whatever she gets! :)

6. What is your favorite holiday food?

- Just one? :) I would have to say I always look forward to my dad's fudge, he makes it every year and I LOVE it!

7. What will you be hand-crafting for the holidays?

- I was not blessed to be very crafty. But I am making marshmallow shooters for all of us & I want to sew a mat with street fabric on it for my sons cars.

8. What is your favorite holiday movie?

- I always get excited to watch "The Grinch"

- When I am feeling like dancing and something upbeat it's "Jingle Bell Rock" When I feel like relaxing and drinking hot cocoa by the fire it's "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas"

My little Boy is a year older!

Jack turned 4 years old on October 27th! (Better late then never, right?)

Here are 4 of my most favorite things about my Jack (in no particular order):

1. His eagerness to learn new things! How excited he gets for preschool & church!

2. How gentle and sweet he is to his sisters & how helpful he is!

3. His AWESOME dance moves & the expression on his face when he dances!

4. His hugs, laugh, smile, blue eyes, jokes, prayers, silliness, how happy he is...

Pretty Much the same old stuff!

We are just hanging out, enjoying life and taking it one day at a time!

Trent finished 4 years of school and then had to take his mechanics test. He PASSED and is now and Elevator Mechanic! He even got a truck, which is nice because his car is pretty beat up and sad :) I am SO PROUD of him and I am SO GRATEFUL that he works so hard so that I can stay at home with our kids! He is AMAZING!

Trent & I celebrated our 5 Year Anniversary on Sept. 18th!

I can't believe how FAST the past 5 years have gone by! So Much has happened in the past 5 years, some good, some bad but I wouldn't of wanted to go through it all with anyone else! I LOVE my Man!

Jack & Lily started Preschool! Actually, Lily just does it when it's my turn to teach. But so far it is working out GREAT! We are doing a Joy School with 2 other moms and their kids. All together, there are 5 kids (including Lily) and they get along so well! It's been FUN!

Lacy is getting big! Well, she is still very little but she has already learned some new tricks!

My little Lacy was blessed on Sunday! It was so wonderful to have family and friends there to support my little lady and our family! Her daddy gave her a beautiful blessing where she was promised to receive all the blessing heavenly father has in store for her as long as she lives a righteous life and follows the good example of those around her. She has been such a blessing in our lives, she gives the BEST smiles and she has brought so much happiness and joy into our home! I look forward to see her grow both physically and spiritually, I just hope it doesn't go by too fast. I love you Lacy Marie!

Get ready for a LONG post!

I have taken so many pictures it was so hard to choose which ones I wanted to put up!

We have had SO MUCH fun the past few weeks! The Mann Family Reunion & my sister was here for 2 weeks! So, as the title says, Take A Deep Breath and we will start with the reunion!

We went to Williams, AZ and we stayed at a fun KOA.

We stayed in a tent and everyone else stayed in cabins.

We were there from Thursday night to Sunday morning.

We went to this FUN place called Slide Rock, to the Grand Canyon (AMAZING), had a dutch oven pizza cook off, sat around a fire, made S'mores, ate yummy food, rode bikes, the kids had a scavenger hunt, had the candy fairy come and we had a Dad Competition (Trent Won this year, whoop, whoop!) It was a very successful reunion! :)

Last Monday Trent hurt his eye at work. He was working on an elevator and had hold of a rope in his hand, his safety glasses slipped off and soon after the rope slipped out of his hand and hit him in the eye. The damage was 2 scratches on his cornea and one in the corner of his eye. It hurt him pretty bad and he couldn't keep his eyes open for about 3 days and he didn't get to go back to work until a week later. Looking at him now you would never guess he had hurt his eye, but it is still a little blurry. I am so glad he is better!

Jack and Max also have shirts that are the same! But look behind them. They took ALL the toys off the shelf (check out the empty shelfs that are also behind them) and out of the buckets and "cleaned up" by putting everything away between the 2 benches. As you can tell they were proud of what they did!

Fishing, Reunion, Friends & Fun!

This past weekend we took a trip to Utah for the Penrod Family Reunion. We left Thursday night and stayed the night in Cedar City. The next day, Friday, we went fishing for a little bit before going to Elberta for the reunion. We went to a beautiful lake, but no one caught any fish. We had fun anyway and took some pictures!

Jack would use the log as his drum and the sticks in his hand as drumstick. See the weed sticking up in front of him? He would hit it and say "ching" after a rockin drum solo! I love his imagination!

After fishing at the lake Trent went down to this little stream for a bit, isn't it beautiful? If you look close you can see Trent in his blue shirt.

After we left the lake we drove up to Trent's grandparents house for the reunion and we lost our camera in the car and didn't find it until late Saturday night. So, sadly, I did not get ANY pictures of the reunion. But we had lots of fun! We played games, visited, went shooting, the kids rode horses, played with the animals (the kids especially loved the cats), played with cousins, got rained on both nights in our tent, got leaked on in our tent, went fishing again, caught some fish, had a TON OF FUN!

We left Sunday morning and on our way home we were able to stop and visit with Trent's mission companion Seth, his wife Leslie and their 2 CUTE kids, Sophie and Trent. They were awesome and even made us dinner! It was so good to see them, I wish we could of stayed longer and see them more often!

For family home evening last night we went to walk around the Temple grounds. It is so peaceful, calm and beautiful there. The kids were so excited that when we stopped to get ice cream before going to the temple they both got upset because they wanted to go straight to the temple, it made me happy!

My Grandparents were here over the weekend for my nephew, Kahle's, baby blessing. It was so good to see them! Below is a picture of them with Lacy and Kahle!

We had a GREAT 4th of July! We woke up bright and early to go to the summerlin parade with my dad, my sister and her family.

Jack slept through all the fireworks but woke up just in time for sparklers, isn't that the fun part anyway? I think so!

Lily turned 2 yesterday and I think she had a pretty good birthday! We played the whole day! It was especially fun because she fell asleep at 10:00 and slept for 1 1/2 hours and then Jack went down for his nap later. So we had a lot of one on one time today and it was perfect for her b-day! We played toys, games and colored! I love this little lady so much!

For breakfast I made her minnie mouse pancakes!

After Breakfast I made her birthday cake and I thought I let it cool enough to put it on the cooling rack, so I went to dump it and it fell apart. I was going to make a butterfly cake for her, but instead Trent picked up a cake on his way home from work. Oh well!

What do you do with cake that is all broken apart? Sit on the floor and eat it for lunch and that is exactly what we did! :)

I LOVE my family!

I am so excited to bring a new little person into it! I can't believe that in 2 days I will be holding, kissing, hugging, cuddling my little Lacy. I am feeling all sorts of emotions right now, a little uncertain of how I will handle 3, if Jack and Lily will be jealous... But most of all I am EXCITED! I already love her so much and I can't wait to meet her and see if she will have "Blue eyes and Yellow hair" like Jack thinks she will. If she will look more like me or Trent. How big she will be when she is born and to see what kind of personality this little lady will have! I love my Jack and Lily so much and I am so ready to add one more! The next post I put up will have picture with all 4 of us plus one more! :)

The Robot!

So yesterday at church Jack was in his sunbeam class and I guess they were drawing faces on the board (or something like that, I am not sure how it all happened). One of the other kids said to draw a robot face and Jack busted out his sweet Robot Dance moves that even I didn't know he had! I couldn't stop laughing about it and when I asked him to show me, he did and I must say he is pretty awesome for a 3 yr old! He cracks me up!!

Also 1 week from today (Monday the 15th) I will be going to the hospital to have my little lady! I can't believe I am that close, I have a feeling the week is going to fly by and before I know it I will be blogging pictures of her! I am starting to feel really nervous about 3, but ready or not here she comes! I just hope that Jack and Lily adjust to her being here quickly, I never had any jealousy problems from Jack when Lil was born. But I am not so sure I will get that lucky with Lily. But I am so EXCITED and I know it will all work out!

Jack Graduated from Preschool!!

I am so proud of my little man! He learned so much and he LOVED going to preschool 2 times a week. I know he is going to miss it and so am I! I loved being his teacher and watching him learn and grow, he is so smart and he picks up on things so fast! For the graduation he had a part to memorize and I only had to say it to him 2 times and he had it down! When it came time to give his part he did it perfect, good job buddy! There was also a part where I asked them a question and his was "What do you want to be when you grow up?" He said, "A Tiger". I asked "What do they do that sounds like fun?" He answered in a low quiet "Rooooooaaaaar!" So cute!

Memorial Day!

I LOVE when Trent has an extra day off of work (especially paid days off)! Yesterday we woke up and got ready for the day ahead of us. We 1st had to stop by Home Depot to buy more paint and some supplies to finish off the kids bedrooms. Then we went and got some yummy doughnuts, Jack and Lily loved watching them be made! We then made our way to my parents house and helped them with some yard work, with my sister Bethany and her cute family, before the real fun started! SWIMMING!! I am LOVING swimming, I want to go everyday, all day! I think because I am preggo and it feels great to just float around weightless and also because it has been in the high 90's, Hot! After a good time in the in the pool, we then ate some awesome hamburgers (my dad is a great cook!) and other good food! After all of our fun, we came home and laid our kiddies down for naps, while Trent and I did some more painting. For the rest of the day we just lounged around and relaxed! It was a GREAT day!

The Doc Says...

Lacy will be joining our family on June 15th (Monday) at around 12:30pm!

I had my doctors appointment today and they let me schedule my C-Section date! I am SO

EXCITED to meet this little lady in exactly 4 weeks from today! We already have so much love for her and we can't wait to physically hold and kiss her! Jack and Lily are also getting very excited, they know it's soon and they can't wait! I think we will have to make a count down for them, now that we know when she will be here! Also, Trent will be able to take that whole week off to spend time with us. Well, he kinda has to take it off. His work is making everyone take off 1 week, unpaid. But I will admit I am excited, it will be nice to have him home, especially after having a C-Section! Anyway, I thought I would share my excitement with everyone and before you know it, I will be blogging real pictures of my little Lacy!

... when your having FUN!

At the end of April Trent's aunt Camille (who is the same age as him) and her family came down from Utah to visit. We had lots of FUN! They have a little girl that is about a week younger than Lily and it was so fun to watch them play so cute together!

We went to the Natural History Museum while they were here:

Lily would not take her eyes off the dinosaurs and she had a death grip around my neck the whole time we were in that room!

Our ward had a FUN Luau Saturday night and we had a BLAST! There was AWESOME food, great dancers (the YM, YW, older primary & 3 cute girls from our ward performed along with 3 real hula dancers) & we had a FUN dance party afterwards! They also held a silent auction and we got a sonicare toothbrush, a cute book, a living will and trust and a car wash from the young men!

Jack and Lil dancing! They would've dance all night if I let them. As we were leaving Jack said "I never want to leave!" I will admit, I had fun busting some sweet moves on the dance floor too and it took me awhile to finally say we had to go :)

Now onto my wonderful, FUN Mothers Day!

We woke up, ate breakfast and then Jack and Lily gave me my gift, they gave me a digital picture frame and Trent built a picture frame to go around it and had the kids paint it. I LOVE IT! I need to take a picture of it and show it off! We then went to church and had a great sacrament! After church we went with my in laws to Spring Mt. Ranch for the afternoon. It was beautiful outside! We played catch, frisbee, soccer and blew some bubbles. We ate some yummy sub sandwiches and I loved every minute! We then went to my mom's house for dessert with my sister Bethany and her family. I love when my kids get to play with their cousins and it was so much fun and relaxing just hanging out!

I can't believe how fast the time is going, Lacy will be here before we know it and I am so excited! We are down to 5 weeks and counting! I have a Dr. appointment on Monday and I think that is when I will be scheduling my C-Section date, so I will keep you all posted!!

Fire Truck!...

... is what Jack yelled when a fire truck pulled up to help get them out of my van after being locked in there for an hour and a half!

On Friday, I was supposed to have a BUSY day. But I woke up with a head cold so I decided I was not going to do most of the things I had planned, one of them being coaching our soccer practice that morning. I called Nicole and told her that I would bring all the equipment to the park and that I would also pick up one of our boys on the way if she could drop him off afterwards. So I get to this boys house and get out to get him, when we come back to get in the van, it was running but locked. I was so mad at myself, so I went back into the house and the boys grandma looked up a locksmith online for me to call. So I call them and tell them "I locked my keys and kids in the car". They say they will be there in about 10-15 minutes. I wasn't worried because it was only 8:45 in the morning, so it wasn't too hot yet. (I had even turned the air off because it was a little too cold for it) So about 20 minutes later there is no locksmith, so I call the company again and remind her I have 2 kids in the car and she says that she will have him call me to tell me where he is. So I wait another 10 minutes and decide to try some other companies because I still haven't heard from him. So I do and 3 told me they wouldn't be able to get there fast enough and one says they can be there in 10-15 minutes. I say ok and call the 1st company back and she tells me the locksmith is almost there. So I wait and wait... I am now starting to get nervous because Jack and Lily have been in the car for awhile with no air, it's starting to warm up, they start to cry and they are starting to sweat and Lily kept asking for a drink. So I call the 1st company again and they tell me AGAIN he is almost there. By this time Nicole is back and I start to cry, not knowing what to do and I was talking about breaking a window myself. So she and I made the decision to call 911 and she called for me. So about 2 minutes after Nicole called and 1 hour 1/2 of them being in the van, a fire truck pulls up. Jack saw it and got excited but Lily looked like she was about to fall asleep, which scared me. So they come up to try to jimmy the lock until I tell them how long they had been in there, so they decide to break the front passenger window and get them out. One of the fire "ladies" told me that their little bodies can dehydrate really fast and she just wants them out. I was fine with it, I wanted them out too! So they broke the window and got them out, and I was shocked at just how sweaty they were. I knew they were sweaty, but I didn't know they were soaked from head to toe! I felt like I deserved the worlds worst mom award for not calling sooner. After being checked out and having a cold towel wrapped around them they were doing good. The locksmith never showed up and the fire department took their number and it sounds like they will be calling them to find out why they didn't get there when they said they would and why they didn't let me know to call someone else when they knew kids were in the car. On our way home Jack said "I was brave when they broke the window!" Yes he was and I am so glad they are both safe and I will be going to get a spare key this week!! So lesson learned, if it ever happens again (I hope it doesn't) call the locksmith and if they do not show up when they say they will call 911 right away!

Hot, Hot, HOT!

So it is getting too HOT to go outside (unless you are going swimming)! Yesterday we had our soccer practice at 4:00pm and when we parked the car to get out I noticed it said that it was 94 degrees outside. So our practice didn't go very long, most of the kids were not into practicing and I wasn't either! It is weird that just last week we were all wearing jackets and pants, the high was in the upper 50's-60's and now it is in the 90's. But on the bright side we get to start swimming, whoop-whoop!

... since I last blogged, so I have some catching up to do!

I am still pregnant! I am 30 weeks along, I can't believe I have just a little over 2 months to go. Time if FLYING by and I still have things I need to get done, but I am determined that they will be by the time I have Lacy! I am feeling good, just tired and I found out last week that the reason I am so tired, besides being a mom of 2 toddlers and being 30 weeks preggo, was because I am anemic. So I have been taking Iron pills and hopefully it will go away soon. Lacy is very active and I can't wait to meet this little lady! Jack and Lily are also very excited. The other night Jack asked me what letter Lacy's name starts with so I told him "L, like Lily's" he then asked what letters came after the L, as I was telling him I realized that the letters in Lacy's name begin and end with the letters LY like Lily and the middle letters are AC like the middle of Jack's name. Trent says that we have to be done having kids now, unless we can come up with a name that incorporates all the kids names together so it doesn't feel left out :)

I had a WONDERFUL birthday thanks to my awesome hubby! On Saturday he took me out to dinner and then took me to watch the Bellagio Water Show and to see the beautiful garden there! I LOVE the Bellagio, it has been a long time since I have been able to go down there and Trent knew I wanted to go, so that's what we did! The next day (my b-day) was fast Sunday, so I told him he couldn't make a big breakfast. So instead he made me an oh so yummy steak dinner that night! He also decorated the house, put together a video with pictures (that made me cry) and made me my favorite cake! That night his family came over for cake and ice cream, it was so much fun! I got my "big" present early, it was getting to go to Time Out For Women with me my mom and sister.

For our wards playgroup we took the kids to Spring Mountain Ranch where my kids got the have 1st of 3 Easter egg hunts. It was so beautiful and relaxing out there and the kids had a blast!

Jack and I had an Easter Party in preschool where he had the 2nd of the 3 egg hunts (Lily woke up from her nap just in time to join the hunt)! Below is a picture of Jack with his class (he is the one hiding his face behind his Easter basket we made).

We went on our very 1st Slurpee run as a family and it has to be documented! :) We LOVE our Slurpee's and I am glad our kids do too!

The Saturday before Easter, we had a really fun day! In the morning we hung out at our house and after the kids naps we dyed Easter eggs, then we went and saw Monsters vs. Aliens, Papa Dan came with us! After the movie we went and got some KFC for dinner and ate it at the park and then played till we were all tired!

EASTER DAY!

We have church at 9:00am so the Easter Bunny didn't come and visit in the night, he came while we were at church! So when we got home Jack and Lil had to hunt for their baskets and the eggs the bunny hid. They got bubbles, a chocolate bunny, and some extra candy. After lunch and naps we headed over to my parents house for an Easter party. We went on a spring walk, had a little lesson on the Savior, went on the 3rd and final egg hunt, ate some yummy hamburgers and food, my mom even sent the adults on a hunt with a handheld GPS. We had lots of fun, I love being with family!

Trent decided to wear Jack's hat and Lily's wings that my parents got for them. He is blowing bubbles for the kids, I LOVE THIS MAN! :)

This is where we found our Easter gifts that my mom sent us to find, in the rocks at O.K. Adcock Elementary. It took us awhile to actually find it! But it was fun!

I got some play dough type stuff that will bounce when you roll it into a ball and Trent got an egg ball that stick when you throw it against the wall (I know Trents says Mak on it, we had his to, he was supposed to come w/us but wasn't feeling good)

They are the new obsession in our house! The kids love them and ask every day to play with the bubbles! I love these 2 little people!

While I was at Time Out For Women they had different companies there that you could learn more about. One of the companies is called LDS Journal. It is a website that you can keep a journal on and the best part is, is that it is FREE! I have never been great at keeping a journal, I do good for a little while and then all of the sudden it has been a year since I last wrote anything in it! I got started on LDS Journal almost as soon as I got home after hearing about it! I love it because I get on the computer a couple times a day anyway, I can type a lot faster than I write, I don't get hand cramps, I can use spell check and I can actually read what I have written (I have horrible hand writing)! When you have enough entries they will bind it into a book for you for only like $25. It is also really cool, because you can add pictures to you journal posts and copy and paste your blog posts into it, so you don't have to write things twice. Anyway, I LOVE IT and figured I would share it with all of you, in case it is something you would like to do!

Time Out For Women!

This past weekend my mom and I flew to Seattle, WA where my sister lives (we missed you Beha). We thought it would be fun to a girls weekend and go to Time Out for Women while we were there. Since my mom and I had to pay for plane tickets, my sister Danalin paid for our hotel room. We had so much fun! We flew in Thursday night and went straight to our hotel room since it was 10:00 pm. On Friday, the weather was perfect as we toured downtown Seattle. We went to the Space needle, visited Pikes Market and just enjoyed the day walking around to the different little shops. That night we kicked off Time Out For Women with some AWESOME speakers, Sister Oaks (Dallin H. Oaks wife), Sister Kapps & Dallin H. Oaks Daughter (I forgot her name) but she played the violin and it was beautiful! I loved it! The next day, Saturday, was typical WA weather it was rainy. But it was ok, because we were inside for most of the day. Our Saturday speakers were Hilary Weeks, Emily Freeman, Kim Nelson & Emily Watts. I was very uplifted by all of the speakers, they had us laughing, crying and cheering throughout the whole day! After it was over we then took the Ferry to stay at my sister's house for the night. Her cute husband picked us up and had dinner ready when we got to their house! I loved seeing my super cute niece and nephew, oh and you too Ty! :) On Sunday we woke up to SNOW! I was worried that we might get snowed in because it was coming down pretty good, but it cleared up and we were able to make our flight! I am grateful for the words that were spoken and for the things I learned! I am so glad I got to spend that time with my mom and sister, we made some great memories that I hope to never forget! Thank You Dana for putting it all together!

1st Taxi ride, staying up late, sleeping in, eating at CJ's (awesome breakfast), "Art", one of us peeing our pants (I'm pregnant, ok!), taking a MILLION pictures on the pier, mom hating taking that many pictures, dancing lady, eating good sweets, eating way too much, aching legs, late night pizza, feeding seagulls, "Why did they put a beard on that bear", Crying during Hilary Weeks funny diddly about raising toddlers, the ferry and Dana's love story, yummy tortilla soup with kidney beans :), "Sons of Lehi", Sunshine, Rain & Snow! Fixing Elevators

This morning Jack and Lily were playing in the entry way, when I asked them what they were doing, Jack said "Fixing this elevator!" They would get done "fixing" one, come out and Jack would say to Lily "We need to fix this other elevator" and Lily would say "Ok!" and back to the entry way they would go! I love it because, for those of you that don't know, that is what Trent does for his job and Jack thinks it's pretty cool! :)

A Little Bit of This, A little Bit of That!

Well, it has been awhile since I have posted about life. We are doing great! I feel so busy all the time, but then when people ask what we have been up to, I say "not much". Maybe that is because it is not very exciting to talk about the everyday stuff. My girls night was a success, it was relaxing and it was so nice to chat with the girls. Thanks for coming everyone! I am a nerd and forgot to take any pictures, but we watched "The Notebook" (yes we all teared up). We ate pizza, some snacks and had a good time!

Jack is great! He is getting more and more creative and funny! He is always making up new songs and singing them to me. He is a GREAT singer, he gets really into it with his facial expressions, body movements and sings super loud if it is an upbeat songs and super quiet if it is a slower song! I need to get it on video, it's awesome! He is also still loving preschool, it is so cool to be his teacher and watch as him learn new things! Although he doesn't always listen to me because I am his mom. :) He still isn't potty trained, I just never thought it would be this hard! We are going to try the potty training in a day, Trent will do it with him this time and I just pray it works. Other than that Jack is so easy and fun! I love my little man and I feel so lucky to be his momma!

Lil' Bug is doing pretty great too! She is talking so much and picks up on new words all the time! She is still adventurous and curious, she is willing to try anything once without a second thought. Which is great for things like eating food, playing a game, helping clean... But not so great for things like, jumping off of places that are way to high, climbing on things that will break under her weight, getting into every cub board she can open, stepping off of slides instead of sitting and then going down! I love that she is so daring, it will be fun to take her to amusement parks when she is older! She is such a sweet girl and I love her tight hugs and little kisses, she loves her big brother Jack and she also loves to kiss and hug my belly! She can drive me nuts, but just as quickly melt my heart with her cuddles! I love ya tons little lady!

Already digging into daddy's wallet!

Trent is the best dad and husband ever! I am so in love with him! He has been working extra hard lately, last week and this week and 3 weeks before that he has had to go to Laughlin for work. We went with him last week, it was like a mini vacation for us. Then he had to go for 2 days this week. Hopefully, it will be awhile before they ask him to go again! He is so great to put up with a hormonal wife, messy house and take over the kids when he gets home from work to give me a break! I love you babe!

As for Lacy and I, we are doing good too! She is healthy and right on schedule. She moves so much and I love getting to feel all those movements, except for the ones that are already waking me up in the middle of the night. But I am feeling great, I love being pregnant during this time. Of course I am tired, but how awesome it is to feel my sweet baby girl grow inside of me! I can't believe we only have 3 1/2 months left! Just writing that down makes me remember ALL we have to get done before she is here!! :)

A week from today I will be flying to Washington with my mom to visit my sister Danalin!! We are going to Women's Conference and I am so so so so excited!

So , we are keeping busy, having fun, taking it one day at a time!

Yesterday, at church, Jack gave his very 1st talk in Primary! We had practiced throughout last week, but I wasn't sure how he would act, if he would be shy or cry... But he sat in the talk chair waiting his turn patiently. I could tell he was excited he kept smiling and looking to see if Trent and I were still sitting in the back. Then they announced who would be giving the scripture and that Jack Tippetts would follow with the talk. Well, as soon as he heard his name he walked right up to the microphone and was ready! We got a little nervous that when she told him he would need to sit down and wait his turn, that he might get embarrassed and start crying. But she diffused the situation really fast by letting Jack go 1st. So I went up to help him, the topic was "I came to the Earth as part of a Family". I had to lift him up to the microphone so he could be seen and heard. He did AWESOME! He repeated everything clearly and I was/am so proud of my little man! Jack, you ROCK! :)

To keep things going Lily LOVED nursery yesterday! She has been going since the 1st of the year and she has either cried the entire time, or has fallen asleep and they would bring her to me. But yesterday when I picked her up, they said she didn't cry one time, she sang all the songs, colored, played and even said the closing prayer! Yay!! Hopefully she continues to love nursery! I love you tons my little lady! :)
